Here’s a common source of confusion (if you’re familiar with one or both of these); what is the difference between Duo Tone balls and Ben Wa Balls?

First off, let’s discuss vaginal muscles, also known as kegels. These muscles have the ability to squeeze, and if you have never squeezed them (or for the guys, of you have never felt her squeeze) you don’t know the fun you’re missing . . . and it *is* fun! Also, some ladies can squeeze hard enough to prevent rape . . . these are few, but fortunate.

Very simply, if you want to exercise you kegels (more intensely than the pee-hold-pee-hold technique), Ben Wa Balls are what you want. These balls are very small, and very weighted, and therefore difficult to keep in. I recommend inserting one into the vagina to start (no, it will not get stuck, much too heavy for that . . . just do not suspend yourself upside-down or removal may take a while). Once you can keep that in easily, insert the other. This will create a great workout for those generally ignored muscles. Try walking around the house, doing chores (bending, reaching, stretching, going up and down stairs, will all become a challenge!), or whatever you think to try.

As an added bonus, the two balls will click together with every movement, causing a fun little “vibration” just for you!

Then there are Duo Tone balls. They are also meant for vaginal insertion. These balls are much bigger, and much lighter, and usually have a cord/string for removal as they are generally effortless to keep in.

Duo Tones are not meant for kegel exercise. Although you may find people you tell you otherwise, it makes very little sense when you compare the two side-by-side. They usually have a ball inside the larger ball which shakes around as you move, for silent vibrations that will make you purr! These are tons of fun, especially for on the bus, at work, in your car . . . no one but you will know what fun you’re having (as long as you can contain yourself!).

And there you have it . . . have fun, ladies!

The Newest Product

March 19, 2008

A lot of my readers ask what the newest thing is . . . and so, I will answer: the Wallbanger! These toys have a (powerful!) suction cup that really does stick to any smooth surface (except panted-over cement walls, as “studies” have found). A good place to play with these is the shower, as it can be stuck to the walls or the tub. It could be stuck to, oh, say, your bedroom wall, maybe your headboard, the kitchen table, the living room walls . . . anywhere . . . For hands-free enjoyment.

They come in the basic vibrating, phallic version, and move right on up into a Pearl Rabbit model, or a metal-beaded wonder. There’s even a version for boys!

This is not a new development, necessarily, but the suction cups of yesterday were small and flimsy. These are bigger, stronger, and much more fun. At Cupid’s they are priced modestly for now (you can check them out on the website, if you’d like), but when they catch on, you may be glad to got them when they were fresh.

That’s the latest and greatest in the sex toy world . . . have fun!

Introduction

March 19, 2008

Hello blog readers! My name is Kellie, and I work for a little store in Port Coquitlam. Adult toys are my specialty. It is my personal belief that the taboo notions around sex and sexuality are, for the most part, terribly out-of-date. My goal is to attempt to bring at least a few people up to speed on toy technology, sexual health and well-being, and all the fun that seems to be hushed by a good portion of the world we live in (although it is increasingly embraced by so many others!).

Constantly learning, I will share with you what I know. If you ever have a question or comment about my blog, or related to the subject matter, I’d love to hear from you!

I look forward to sharing a lot of fun stuff!
